More Mushers that left:
JEFF KING #59 Last Year he was part of the intense finish. He got knocked out of the race about 25 miles from the finish due to hurricane winds. He is not my favorite. Quite unfriendly. Seems cocky. Keeps saying he's retiring but always comes back.
MIKE SANTOS #61 and from Massachusetts (hey, book club--#61 and from Mass-get it)
TIM HUNT#68 He is a Vet and has helped with the Iditarod in the past now a musher.
JASON CAMPEUR #70 Former professional hockey player
KATHLEEN KEITH #74 one of the most competitive and spirited people in the race. She has done the Iron Man and is a Marathon runner. NEWTON MARSHALL from Jamaica a past Iditarod musher was there for her send off. I miss seeing Newton on the trail. He helped everyone who needed it, so friendly and great with his dogs.
HEIDI SUTTER #76 Our Heidi--following her. Tough to be in the back of the pack. Trail gets worn down, always seems like the front teams get ahead and then the storms come for the back teams. Just seems that way. Heidi has PINK hair (should get together with DeeDee Jondrow and her pink parka and pink booties on her dogs) Heidi a 39 year old rookie. Getting ready to also do the Yukon Quest next year. Newton Marshall also saw her off.
