Strange to see one swatch of white down the middle of 4th avenue--snow hauled in---and dry on the sidewalks and no one bundled up. That's what 39 degrees is--

LANCE MACKEY #30 showed some of the health issues plaguing him. He has had, I believe, head and neck cancer. He still has difficulties with circulation, especially in his hands and some pain.
He looks a bit different than he did in his last win in 2010. 4 years in a row he won the Iditarod and at the same time the Yukon Quest.
ROHN BUSER #31 Martin's son. He should do well as he was named after one of the checkpoints.
He said he was running the "B" team and his Dad had the "A" team. Perhaps?
ALIY ZIRKLE #32 has had 3 2nd place finishes with her lead dog Keto. I think this is her year!!
She is married to ALLEN MOORE--running in this race as well.
DEEDEE JONDROW # 29  Different spelling than yours Deedee. Lot of cheering when she came
to the line. They consider her their ROYALTY IN PINK
