HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY   MARCH 17, 2015

One of my fondest memories was being in Nome on St. Patrick's Day, waiting for the first sled to come in. There was a "big" parade--not Macy's, Nome style. All the dogs, goats, sheep and kids were all decked out and paraded down the chute. EVERYONE in town followed with lots of green on, singing, dancing. There was a golf "tournament" on the frozen Bering Sea which Hank and I participated in. They put some Christmas trees into the ice and made a "green". It was truly such fun. After the game, we were treated to a corned beef and cabbage dinner. Great day. Memorable.
DALLAS is now into ELIM. He's been there at least an hour and no one else has shown up yet.
Only 68 miles to go. Seems to be going quickly this year. Dallas said he was enjoying the race. His young team were energetic and having fun. ( not sure how you can tell that but....) He said when it stops being fun then its over for him. His Dad is right behind him.
