ONE DAY and 20 HOURS LEFT UNTIL THE START OF THE RACE

One last entry about the people involved in the Iditarod before we actually get on the trail!!

TEACHER ON THE TRAIL:

Each year a teacher is chosen, applicants from all over the US, to hold this title.
This year the teacher is ERIN MONTGOMERY a 7th and 8th grade Social Studies Teacher, for 8 years,from Camanche, Iowa. She also coaches many sports, is a runner herself and LOVES to travel. She will report from the Iditarod trail as she travels along the race in a small plane. She will use this portal as a classroom experience for students from all over the country.
We will be hearing more about Erin and her program as we go into the race.

GET READY---ITS CLOSE!! Pray for some snow for the ceremonial start in Anchorage.
