It is 2 degrees in Fairbanks with light snow. Different weather than even they have had this winter.
The dogs seems much more lively than in the warmer Anchorage at 39 degrees.
Saw #36 KEN ANDERSON take pictures with his three kids, kiss the dogs and go. He is one of the very leveled headed guys in the race. A VERY important trait in a race like this. He has also been very helpful to others along the way.
#37 BEN HARPER is ONLY 18 years old. Where were you when you were 18--on the Iditarod trail?? I think not. I can say that is when I did move to Alaska and went to the University in Fairbanks. His job was much more difficult!!
#39 ANNA BERINGTON is a twin. BOTH of them race. Her sister went out before she did. They usually meet up and have travelled together to Nome.
