MARCH 12th cont'd
DALLAS SEAVEY only 7 miles behind his DAD, MITCH, is well known for being innovative and very persistent so watch out DAD.
MITCH got this lead when he broke away from the tight knit group of competition at RUBY and then by some swift runs and thrifty rests arrived ahead of the pack at HUSLIA.
NOW we are transitioining from the Black spruce forest of the great Yukon River Basin to the Bering Sea Coast, often brutally hammered by wind on treeless, exposed tundra (sort of like N. Dakota!!!) The KALTAG area to UNALAKLEET.
KALTAG is at mile 687 and is 31 miles from the Bering Sea community of UNALAKLEET.
