2nd day Alaska trip - ANCHORAGE

Up late today so Hank can be extra rested. Difficult yesterday on a body that had chemo only a week ago.
Went to breakfast at the Snow City Cafe - L and 4th and around the corner from the hotel. VERY local place with great food. Went to David Green Furrier to ask a question--well that turned into a boot buying stop. Bad for Hank, great for me. Fox fur on the boot--will try to  picture them. GREAT BOOTS.  Love them!! This is also Fur Rendezvous--their winter carnival.  Some interesting events as the blanket toss, Canstruction (thats with an a--don't know what that is, oyster shucking (Hanks wants to go for the results--eating them!), native craft markets, dog sled rides, a "foot race" looks like naked!! That should be fun---or COLD!!and the running of the raindeer--got to see that!! We went to the Snow Sculpture Competiton. Maybe 25 sculptures that I will try to picture here. On to the Rondy MELODRAM. Titled "Alyeska Jones and the Viking Crypt" at the Snow Goose Theater--dinner first. Great LOCAL show. You were to toss the popcorn at anytime on anyone and YES THEY DID. The theater "swam" in it. Cards were held up for audience participation--boos, hisses, whistles etc. Very funny. Then to the grocery store for some Snapple, can't do without that, can we Jane!! Off to bed as it is AGAIN midnite!!!
